Senior Manager, OperationsThis position is an experienced operations leader who must be able to drive TCG’s operations strategy by managing all aspects of our business and production operations. This includes overseeing and leading the production of all TCG products, production quality control, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and field service operations functions. In this role, you will be ultimately responsible for the smooth operation of all production lines and quality of output. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.Location:Tewksbury, MAYour Challenge:As a member of the TCG Leadership team, contribute to the operational direction for TCGOversee and manage assembly and test, supply chain, and quality activities; serve as primary liaison to program management for development and execution of the production strategyDevelop and drive production action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectivesPrepare and review all manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications, create master production schedules, and coordinate material planning and production scheduling to include all aspects of producing product through deliveryResponsible for ensuring archiving and maintenance of all production build and quality records for each product shippedWork closely and collaboratively with the Operations team, including development engineering, on problem identification and resolutionTranslate customer requirements into operations strategies and processes designed to improve cost-effectiveness and profitabilityCoordinate with supply chain on supplier qualification and supplier material non-conformance resolutionProvide regular reports to Senior Leadership team including scheduling, forecasts, and moreProvide direction, coaching, and day-to-day leadership to frontline managers and other production personnel; grow, develop, and guide high potential staff members for increased responsibilityServe as functional manager to a team of 16 employees; responsible for new staff introductory training and ongoing training for all staff as appropriateDrive continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunitiesEnsure all outbound logistical transitions comply with appropriate regulatory oversight agencyMaintain compliance status with regulatory requirementsOther duties as assignedYour Expertise:At least 10 years of progressively responsible manufacturing operations experienceExperience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvementExperience with continuous improvement techniques (Six Sigma, Kaizen, LEAN) strongly desiredPrior manufacturing experience of defense related electronics is strongly desiredProven team leadership skills, including the ability to grow, motivate, and educate staffProven experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems with limited resources in a timely mannerProven experience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunitiesProposal creation and labor estimating experienceExperience working diverse contract types, including CPFF, CPIF, FFP, etc. strongly desiredExperience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigation activitiesExperience using or supporting a Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) systemExperience with SAP is preferredFamiliarity with finance reporting is preferredMust be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a small team environmentAccuracy, attention to detail, and quality orientation is a mustMust be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with other departments including purchasing, engineering, field service operations, and administration.Strong written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlinesThis position may require exposure to export-controlled information and subject to additional security screening.
